Arizona Looks To Gain Ground After A Very Tight Round 1 In New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Arizona finished the opening round of the William H. Tucker Invitational tied for eighth at 2-under par, just six strokes behind fifth-place. Tianyi Xiong led the Wildcats with a 2-under, 70, tying for 16th, while Jorge Sampedro shot a 1-under, 71, to tie for 26th. Dillon Dean finished with an even-par, 72, to tie for 38th, and William Wistrand carded a 1-over 73 to tie for 48th. Matej Baca shot a 2-over 74 to tie for 59th, while individual Adam Fahey also finished with a 1-over 73 to tie for 48th.
Through 13–14 holes of the second round, Arizona sits in 13th place at 1-under par overall and is 1-over par for the second round.
Round two will resume tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. MST after play was suspended due to weather.
