MANHATTAN, Kan. – Arizona Soccer battled Kansas State to a 1-1 draw Thursday night at Buser Family Park, earning a point on the road in Big 12 play behind a second-half equalizer from Ally Brown.

The Wildcats (3-4-3, 0-0-2 Big 12) and Wildcats played to a scoreless draw through the opening 45 minutes, with Sofia Cortes-Browne making two saves to keep Kansas State off the board. Arizona was held without a shot on goal in the opening half, while Kansas State put two attempts on frame.

Kansas State generated pressure early in the match, but Cortes-Browne kept the Wildcats level with saves in the 35th and 43rd minutes. Arizona's best opportunities of the opening half came from Jessica Bedolla, Trinity Dorsey and Aranda Hurge, but none found the back of the net.

The Wildcats broke the deadlock in the 55th minute when Gabby DeMers scored off an assist from McKinnan Braswell to give Kansas State a 1-0 advantage at 54:40.

Arizona responded just 2:34 later.

Lainey Swanson set up Ally Brown, who found the back of the net at 57:14 to pull the Wildcats even at 1-1. The goal marked Brown's second of the season, while Swanson recorded her first assist of the year.

Both teams continued to create chances throughout the remainder of the second half, but neither side could find a game-winner. Cortes-Browne made five additional saves in the second half, including consecutive stops on Kansas State's Langley Mayers in the 80th minute, to help Arizona secure the road draw.

Cortes-Browne finished with seven saves in the match, while Kansas State goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing made two saves. Arizona finished with 10 shots, including three on goal, while Kansas State recorded 20 shots and nine attempts on frame. The Wildcats held 48 percent of possession and earned four corner kicks.
