Arizona Travels to Illinois To Compete In The Windy City Collegiate Classic

Arizona Women's Golf, ranked No. 22, continues their season at the Windy City Classic this Monday and Tuesday. The tournament takes place at the Lake Shore Country Club hosted by Northwestern University. The Wildcats have won the entire tournament twice (taking home team titles in 2012 and 2015) and have finished in the top three on six different occasions.
The Wildcats will tee off on Monday at 7:30 am (CT), and play 36 holes, followed by the final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.

News and Notes
- Lake Shore Country Club serves as a multi-championship venue for the Wildcats, a course where the program has previously hoisted two team trophies.
- The Wildcats will look to rewrite the script at this event after finishing 8th overall at 35-over par last season. A completely retooled, top-25 squad enters this week hunting for a much stronger finish.
- Three of the five players locked into this week's starting lineup are true freshmen (Nagore Martinez, Olivia Hung, and Antonia Steiner), showcasing a massive rookie infusion for the program. Both Hung and Martinez have enjoyed phenomenal starts to their seasons, highlighted by the opening tournament where both freshmen fired rounds in the 60s (Hung with a 68 and Martinez with a 69).
- Senior Charlotte Back has absolutely anchored the Wildcats' lineup this season, T-6th at the Folds of Honor Collegiate and T-5th at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic, to help lead the team with two consecutive top-10 finishes.
