Each team that is selected to compete in a seeded race can only run seven athletes.
Teams can run an additional five athletes in the "Grey" race. Teams that are not selected to compete in the "Cardinal" or "White' race can run up to twelve athletes in the "Grey" race. "This is going to be a big week for our races, probably the biggest in the country this year," said head cross country coach James Li. "We are as ready as we can be, the last couple of weeks people have been banged up but we are improving. We are really looking forward to running a big race against some of the best division one teams and running the course hosting the national championships. We can feel people are improving and this is going to be a great opportunity for us to race."
Jennie Barager-Petrash, Keelah Barger, Grace David, Alaina Kautz, Lauren Neugeboren, Hannah Whetzel and Addi Zerrenner will compete in the NCAA Pre-National.
For the men, Hunter Davila, Shem Kemboi, Ryan Matson, Connor McCabe, Travis Thorne, Seamus White and Carlos Villarreal will make the trip.
Last time out, the Cats competed in the Loyola Lakefront Invitational. Villarreal, Zerrenner and Barager-Petrash each recorded their second consecutive top-10 finish individually. The men's squad finished fourth and bumped up to No. 14 in the USTFCCCA West Region Poll.

Individually, the men have finished in the top 10 on seven occasions, with Villarreal finishing winning the Dave Murray Invitational.
