Sophomore (2024-25)
- Part of the ITA Southwest Women’s Tennis Community Service Outreach Award Team
- Had the highest ITA doubles ranking of 28th with Midori Castillo
- Played primarily at the No. 2 singles spot
Freshman (2023-24)
- Recorded 10 singles wins and 13 doubles wins in her first season with the Cats
- Played primarily at No. 2 doubles, tallying eight victories that included one ranked win
- Defeated No. 83 Giulia Morlet and Sara Svetac, playing with Belen Nevehoven, against Arizona State to clinch the team point
- Won five consecutive singles matches during the dual match portion of the year
- Charted a win at No. 2 doubles with Nevenhoven against Oregon in the Pac-12 Championships to help clinch the doubles point
- Clinched the match against Missourii, defeating Mae Canete at No. 1 singles in straight sets
- Helped Arizona sweep Western Michigan with a win at No. 2 singles
Personal: Resides in Edmonton, Canada and raised by her father and mother, Dariusz and Agnieszka Ostrzygalo, along with her older brother Michael. She is coached by her father and grew up playing tennis with her brother. During her leisure time, Martyna enjoys listening to music, reading books, acquiring new knowledge, and cherished moments spent with friends. Her ultimate goal is to continue her tennis career on the professional circuit.
High School: When in Edmonton, Martyna trains at the University of Alberta, Saville Centre. She has reached WTA rankings at a high of 802 in singles and 857 in doubles, as well as a ranking high of 121 ITF. She comes to Arizona with long list of tennis accolades achieved throughout her high school years. Martyna will be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Medicine.
