  • Title
    Graduate Assistant
Ryan Anderson, a former first team All Pac-12 standout for the Wildcats, returned to Tucson as a graduate assistant prior to the 2021-22 season.

After playing his first three seasons of college basketball at Boston College, Anderson transferred to Arizona for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. He sat out the 2014-15 season as a transfer but in his senior season, he garnered First Team All Pac-12 Conference and First Team NABC and USBWA All-District honors. He was a finalist for the Karl Malone Award and averaged 15.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, becoming the first Wildcat since Jordan Hill in 2008-09 to average a double-double for an entire season. Since Anderson, the only other Wildcat to do it was Deandre Ayton.

Following his collegiate career, Anderson played professionally in Belgium, Germany Ukraine, Lithuania and the G-League.

At Boston College, he earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors as well as Third Team All-ACC and Honorable Mention All-ACC. During his junior seasons (2013-14), he averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists while registering five double-doubles.

He played his high school basketball at Long Beach Poly and was the No. 93 overall prospect in the country and was named California Mr. Basketball in 2011.

Anderson earned his bachelor's degree in Human and Social Behavioral Studies from Arizona in 2016 and is currently pursuing his master's in Entrepreneurship.
