No. 18 GymCats Host No. 10 Arkansas in First Home Meet

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Gymnastics, now ranked No. 18 after the first week of NCAA competition, is set to host No. 10 Arkansas for their first meet in McKale Center this season.
Live tweets of the meet will be available on Twitter (@ArizonaGymCats). The meet will be live streamed and there will be live stats available here once the meet starts.
"We are looking forward to returning to McKale for the next three weeks in a row and are hoping that Tucson comes out strong to support us and the other sports at home this weekend," said head coach John Court. "Our objective is to hit more goals this week then we did at CMU. It's always great to have SEC teams compete at Arizona, and Arkansas has great leadership in Mark Cook, he started the program there 18 years ago. We are excited to host the Girl Scouts of Tucson. It's their fourth year in a row supporting us on opening night!"
Saturday's meet will be the Girl Scout's Cookie Kickoff event and Gymnastics Club Night.
Last Week:
On Jan. 6, the GymCats took on Central Michigan, Illinois, and Bridgeport in Mount Pleasant, Mich. Arizona finished the quad meet in second place with a score of 194.750, with Central Michigan coming out on top with a 194.875. Illinois placed third with a final score of 192.850 and Bridgeport took fourth place with a score of 192.575.
