Women Take 14th at NCAA West Regional

TUCSON, Ariz.- The University of Arizona women's cross country team competed in a 6k race for the NCAA West Regional today at the Jefferson Golf Club in Seattle, Washington. The men did not compete as a team but had three runners representing them in the 10k race.
The women finished in 14th place overall out of 35 with 354 points and their top finisher was Addi Zerrenner who finished in 30th place with a time of 21:20.0.
Claire Green finished in 41st place with a time of 21:28.4, Molly Callahan finished in 43rd place with a time of 21:29.0, Kayla Ferron finished in 84th place with a time of 22:12.2, Kirsten Vergara finished in 161st place with a time of 23:04.9, Kate Penney finished in 187th place with a time of 23:29.4, and McKenna Gaffney finished in 217th place with a time of 24:05.7.
Leading the men's three runners was Sam Willis who finished in 81st place with a time of 32:42.3. Collins Kibet finished in 94th place with a time of 33:02.8, and Patrick Leary finished in 147th place with a time of 34:12.3.
The Wildcats will next be competing in the NCAA Championships next weekend on November 21st in Louisville, Kentucky.
