
No. 6 Wildcats Move Up at NCAA Women's Golf

TUCSON - No. 6 University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf moved up in the standings on day two of the NCAA Championships. Held at Texas A&M's Traditions Golf Club, competition will take place Wed.-Sat., May 18-21. The 72-hole tournament will be played over the course of four days with 18 holes played each day. Traditions Golf Club is a par 72 set at 6,260 yards.
The Wildcats sit in a tie for 11th place with a first-round score of 304 (+16) and a day two showing of 295 (+7) for a total of 599 (+23), just 15 strokes of the leader and eight strokes out of the top five. No. 2 UCLA has moved into the lead with a 584 (+8). No. 4 Purdue is in second place with a 587 (+11). No. 7 LSU rounds out the top three with a 588 (+12). Individually, No. 40 Austin Ernst of LSU leads the way with rounds of 72 (E) and 66 (-6).
No. 81 senior Alejandra Llaneza jumped from tied for 70th to tied for 30th with an even-par round of 72 on the second day of play. She has scores of 77 and 72 for a total of 149 (+5). Junior Nikki Koller also sits at tied for 30th after starting the day at tied for 42nd. She carded a second round score of 74 (+2) for a tally of 149 (+5).
No. 52 junior Margarita Ramos sits at tied for 49th. She shot rounds of 74 (+2) and 77 (+5) for a total of 151 (+7). No. 19 junior Isabelle Boineau jumped nearly 40 places with her even-par second round of 72. She now has a two-day total of 152 (+8). No. 79 sophomore Kyndall Ardoin rounds out the Wildcat five in a tie for 91st place. She has rounds of 78 (+6) and 78 (+6) for a tally of 156 (+12).
