
Day One of NCAA Women's Golf in the Books

TUCSON - No. 6 University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf has completed day one of play at the NCAA Championships. Held at Texas A&M's Traditions Golf Club, competition will take place Wed.-Sat., May 18-21. The 72-hole tournament will be played over the course of four days with 18 holes played each day. Traditions Golf Club is a par 72 set at 6,260 yards.
The Wildcats sit in 15th place with a first-round score of 304 (+16). No. 2 UCLA leads the team race after shooting a one-over 289. No. 5 Virginia is in second place with a carding of 291 (+3). No. 4 Purdue rounds out the top three with a score of four-over 292. No. 17 Brittany Altomare of Virginia leads the individual race with a three-under-par carding of 69.
No. 52 junior Margarita Ramos was Arizona's top finisher in a tie for 31st place. She shot a two-over 74 on day one. Junior Nikki Koller sits in a tie for 42nd place with a carding of 75 (+3). No. 81 senior Alejandra Llaneza's score of 77 (+5) earned her a tie for 70th-place finish. No. 79 sophomore Kyndall Ardoin sits at tied for 79th with her tally of 78 (+6). No. 19 junior Isabelle Boineau rounded out the Wildcat five and shot an eight-over 80 for a tie for 104th-place finish after round one.
