Head Coach Lute Olson Quotes

"This was a very intense and competitive game. Both teams played very hard. Marquette is a very good team, and they obviously are a team that likes to play the half court. They have a number of great shooters. In the first half, it seemed like Marquette drained everything. They had too many good looks in the first half."

"We did a lot of things really well, especially in the second half. We scrambled well defensively, and we did a much better job of getting to the shooters and pressuring their shots (in the second half). We made a lot of switches, and our quickness allowed us to recover from certain situations. In the end, it was our ability to hit shots that secured the win."

"In the second half, we did a much better job of taking care of the ball, and we got a lot of good looks. We moved the ball better, and the players did a great job of helping each other out. In terms of conditioning, we still looked pretty fresh at the end."

"Salim (Stoudamire) is an unbelievable shooter when his confidence is up. He got that confidence during the second half of the Texas game. I'm not sure any of those three-pointers even touched the rim today."

"Hassan (Adams) had a great game, and he shot the ball very well. He also had some great blocks."

"Chris (Rodgers) played great defense, especially in the second half when Salim (Stoudamire) got into foul trouble."

"Channing (Frye) had a very solid game for us today, and he did a great job of challenging their shots."

"Overall, we are getting there. We still have to do a better job of taking care of the ball and hitting the defensive boards. This could be a very good team if we stay focused and continue to improve."

Arizona Player Quotes

Sophomore Guard Hassan Adams
"We've been on the road for a couple of weeks now. It's great to be on our home court. The fans were great. They got us back in the game. At home, the team feeds on the noise. I love playing here; I love this game."

"We just wanted this game in the end. Coach (Lute) Olson told us to pick it up on defense. This is our home court, and we were going to protect it."

"In the first half, I was coming off of screens and rolling through. We got back on defense and got to their offense. We just have to shoot and make it or shoot and miss it. We just have to take our shots."

Sophomore Forward Andre Iguodala
"The intensity changed for us in the second half. I have to admit that I didn't play well in the first half. We attacked the glass harder in the second half, and we were communicating better."

Sophomore Guard Chris Rodgers
"It was great out there today. We always have to protect the home court. We had the home court advantage, and the fans were loud and excited. That helped us out down the stretch."

"It was emotional playing out there somewhat. We just definitely have to come out and not let another team win on our home court."

"We came out sluggish in the first half. Once we picked up our defense in the second half, we controlled their offense."
