Grado Performing Well at Zone E Trials

AUSTIN, Texas – Arizona divers, led by Ben Grado, finished day two of the Zone E Diving Trials today in Austin, Texas. The top performers over the three-day meet will earn a bid to the NCAA Championships.
Grado had a runner-up finish in the 1-meter diving event today with an overall score of 769.10. Harrison Jones of USC won the event with a score of 803.90.
Yesterday, Grado had a preliminary score of 388.90 and a final tally of 781.50 to place third overall in the 3-meter event. Teammate Andres Guerra was 18th overall with a score of 546.70. Today, Guerra had a 17th-place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 529.15.
On the women’s side, Ainsley Oliver was 31st overall in the 1-meter event yesterday with a prelim score of 223.25. Today off the 3-meter boards, Oliver was 18th overall through the preliminary round with a score of 258.45. In the finals, Oliver moved up three places to finish 15th overall in the 3-meter.
Tomorrow the men and women will both compete on platform.
