Swim and Dive Complete Competition against Texas and SMU

The women began today’s action with a victory in the 200 medley relay, as the team of sophomore Justine Schluntz, freshman Annie Chandler, sophomore Lara Jackson and junior Lacey Nymeyer posted an NCAA consideration time of 1:41.43.
In the 1650 free, freshman Joni Zimmerman finished second with a time of 16:45.36. Nymeyer won the 200 free with a time of 1:49.92 and sophomore Anna Turner finished third (1:51.05), while freshman Caitlin Iversen finished third in the 100 back (56.25).
The 400 free relay team of Turner, Myers, sophomore Taylor Baughman and Nymeyer finished dual meet action for the women with a second place finish, posting a time of 3:23.31.
On the men’s side,
Freshman Jean Basson finished first in the 1650 free with a time of 15:21.00 and was followed by a series of second-place finishes, as senior Adam Ritter finished second in the 200 free (1:37.09), Subirats finished second in the 100 back (48.54) and Barnes fished second in the 100 breast (55.11), respectively.
In the 50 free, Subirats finished first with a time of 20.33 and Ritter finished first in the 200 IM (1:49.87).
For the final event of the meet, the 400 free relay team of Subirats, Nilo, Townsend and Ritter finished first with a time of 2:55.79.
