Arizona Falls to Third Place in Race for the Men's Swimming and Diving Pac-10 Title

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The University of Arizona men's swimming and diving team finished the second day of competiton at the 2002 Pac-10 Championships in second place, scoring 398.50 points. Stanford holds onto a commanding lead with 637 points. Moving into second place is California (468.50). Rounding out the top-five teams are Southern California in fourth (384) and Arizona State in fifth (293).
Senior Roland Schoeman won his second Pac-10 title in as many days when he touched the wall at 46.86 in the championships of the 100y fly. That time is also a NCAA automatic qualifying time.
The championships will conclude tomorrow with preliminaries beginning at 9 a.m. followed by finals at 4 p.m.
