Arizona Men’s JV Golf Team Finishes Second at Anteater Invitational
The Wildcats finished at 893 and in second place, eight strokes back of Texas-El Paso, which fired a final round of 281 to finish at 885 overall in the three-round tournament. Nathan Fritz of Texas-El Paso claimed medalist honors with a one-over-par performance, finishing at 217.
Junior Ben Clark and freshman Andy Connell led the way for the Wildcats, finishing tied for seventh place at 222 (+6) after todays third round. Junior Brandon Smith completed the tournament tied for 20th with a three-round total of 227 (+11). Wildcat junior Brian Woolf carded a third-round 74 to wrap up action at 13 over-par and tied for 28th place. Rounding out the Arizona lineup was junior Tim Weiss, who finished in 34th place with a score of 231 (+15).
Arizonas varsity golf team will compete in the U.S. Collegiate Championships in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico beginning April 6.
