Jenna Daniels Named Rolex Collegiate Golfer of the Month
Daniels won the individual title at the Women's Division I NCAA Championship, her third Rolex Collegiate Tour win of the season. She shot 73-69-68-77 (287, 1-under) while leading Arizona to its second national championship. The Wildcats, who won nine tournaments this season, set a new school record winning their last eight tournaments to close out the season. Daniels also tied for 15th place at the NCAA West Regional. She shot a five-over par 221 (74-71-76) while helping to lead Arizona to the team title.
Daniels was named the Eleanor Dudley College Player of the Year, and won the Golfstat Cup Award for lowest stroke average during the 1999-2000 season (71.71). Ranked No. 1 in the final edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, Daniels finished the month of May with a stroke average of 72.57 in seven rounds.
