Wildcats in First Place at Dick McGuire Invitational
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The second ranked University of Arizona women's golf
team leads the Jones Intercable Dick McGuire Invitational after the first
day of play with a team score of 2-over-par 294. The tournament is being
held at the University of New Mexico Championship Course(Par-73, 6,069 yards).
Senior Jenna Daniels is tied for first place with Texas Christian's Angela Stanford after each recorded a 3-under-par 70. UA freshman Julia Kraschinski shot a 1-over-par 74 and is tied for 12th place, senior Jill Gomric and sophomore Cristina Baena are tied for 19th place, shooting a 2-over-par 75. Junior Christina Monteiro rounded out the UA lineup and shot a 7-over-par tying her for 66th place.
Day-two of the three-day, 54-hole tournament is tomorrow with 18 holes of play.
