Indoors: Competed in four 400-meter events and one 500-meter event, never ranking outside the top two finishers … set a career mark go 52.00 in the 400-meter at the Husky Classic to take first … Earned first place honors in the 400-meter at the NAU Friday Night Duels with a 53.18 mark … Took second in the 400-meter at the MPSF Championships and the Vanderbilt Invitational …
Outdoors: Competed in one 200-meter event and took first place in all six 400-meter hurdles events she competed in … Earned her first Pac-12 and NCAA Championships in the 400-meter hurdles … Won the 400-meter hurdles NCAA Championship with a personal best 54.52 … Won the 400-meter hurdles Pac-12 Championship with a 55.01 mark … Finished in first in the Duel in the Desert with a 55.56 mark … Won the TCU Big 5 400-meter hurdles contest with a 55.67 mark … Won the Jim Click Shootout with a 56.12 mark … 


2016: Indoors, Watson performed in both the 400-meter race and 500-meter race during the 2016 indoor campaign. She successfully earned a new personal best in the 400-meter race at the Don Kirby Invite in February where she placed seventh with a 53.64 mark. Watson would go on to place third at the MPSF Championships with a time of  Additionally, Watson placed first at the Armory Track Invite with a mark of 1:10.52 during her 500-meter race for an Arizona school-record. She was also a part of the 4x400-meter relay squad that broke a school record and won the MPSF Conference Championship with a time of 3:32.54. The squad of Trevisan, Watson, Hailey, and Waggoner would go on to place eighth at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 3:32.78 that earned them first-team All-America honors … Outdoors, Watson put her talents on display during the 2016 outdoor campaign. The transfer from Florida State made her mark at Arizona as she never finished outside of the top-four in any of the 400-meter and 400-meter hurdle races that she ran. Watson set a personal best in the 400-meter race with a time of 52.01 seconds at the ASU Invitational for first-place. Watson specialized in the 400-meter hurdles where her personal best was a time of 54.82 seconds set at the Tucson Elite Classic for a third-place finish in a field filled with Olympic hopefuls. Watson went on to place third at the Pac-12 Championships with a time of 55.53 seconds. Watson would then qualify for NCAA’s after she placed fourth overall at the NCAA West prelims with a time of 57.08 seconds. Watson would go on to earn first-team All-America honors at the NCAA Championships with a third-place finish at 55.80 seconds. Watson went on to earn second-team honors in the 4x400 relay where they finished 13th overall with a time of 3:33.56 ... In the summer, Watson went on to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for her native country Canada. She qualified for the 400-meter hurdles with the 12th best time in the field at 55.93 seconds. In the semis Watson finished 11th overall with a time of 55.44 seconds which was just short of the qualifying mark for the finals. Watson also competed on the 4x400-meter relay team where they qualified for the final with a time of 3:24.94, the fifth-best time in the field. In the final, Canada would just miss the podium with a fourth-place finish at a time of 3:26.43.

BEFORE ARIZONA: Competed for Florida State from 2012 until 2015 … Took fourth in the NCAA Championships in the 400-meter hurdles … Took third in the 4x400-meter relays in the NCAA Championships as well … Is a four-time All-American and won the ACC Title in 2014 in the 400-meter hurdles … Was a finalist in the women’s 4x400-meter World Championships in 2015 … Was a captain three times in her high school career at Medicine Hat High School in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada … She also was named the team’s most valuable player three times … She earned All-State honors in high school three years in a row.

PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Jolene and Wade Watson … She has one brother, Waylan … Is pursuing a degree in Marketing.
