TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Men's Tennis opened its fall slate with a strong showing at the Kinlen & Vivian Gee Wildcat Invite, earning multiple singles and doubles victories
Friday
Arizona opened the tournament with a strong showing in singles and doubles play. Senior Cole Stelse and Junior Glib Sekachov teamed up to play doubles while Freshman Sander Juuhl-Sivertsen and transfer Tristan Berard played together. The Wildcats swept in singles and doubles earing 6 wins on the day, with dominating performances
Saturday
The Wildcats continued their strong play on day two, as Stelse, Sekachov, Berard and Sivertsen each earned another singles victory. Berard and Sivertsen continued their doubles success, securing a win, while Sekachov and Stelse battled in doubles but ultimately fell.
Sunday
The final day brought more competitive action for the Wildcats. Stelse, Sekachov, and Sivertsen each secured their third singles victory of the tournament winning each of their brackets.
Sekachov and Stelse closed out the tournament with another doubles victory. Berard and Sivertsen but ultimately fell in their final doubles match.
Arizona will continue its fall season at the ITA All American Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma September 19-27.
