Cats Open 2026 With First-Place Finish at Duquesne Cup

BEAVER FALL, Penn. - No. 1 Arizona Triathlon took first place at the Duquesne Cup on Sunday morning in Pennsylvania to open the 2026 season.
Arizona dominated the race, placing all 11 triathletes in the top 13 and sweeping the top seven spots. Kelly Wetteland placed first with a time of 1:00:44.35 and Margareta Vrablova came in second with a time of 1:00:54.33. Amit Ben Adiva finished third with a time of 1:01:31.60, Ruth Pardy placed fourth with a time of 1:01:38.61, Mia Wentzy was fifth with a time of 1:01:52.31, Regina Michel Camacho placed sixth with a time of 1:02:00.92, and Ellison Wolfe rounded out the top seven with a time of 1:02:04.78. Jenna Gilhooly made her Arizona debut with a ninth-place finish and a time of 1:02:22.64. Molly Lakustiak placed 10th in the race with a time of 1:02:44.66 and Rylan Lonergan followed in 11th place with a time of 1:02:51.99. Maria Clara Abreau Borges Cunha finished 13th with a time of 1:03:03.85.
