Noah Fifita Named to Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 15
10/09/2026 | Football
BALTIMORE — Arizona Football quarterback Noah Fifita has been selected to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 15, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation announced this week.
Fifita, the Wildcats career leader in touchdown passes and passing yards, currently leads the Big 12 Conference in completions (124), passing yards (1,415), passing touchdowns (13), and completion percentage (73.8%). All of those marks are also top 10 in the FBS.
The California native has been the Wildcats starting quarterback for 39 consecutive games dating back to 2023 — over that stretch he has led Arizona to a 24-15 record while rewriting a large portion of the program's record books.
Fifita and the Wildcats are off to a 4-1 start to the season and close out their first half of the campaign this Saturday with a road matchup at West Virginia.
The Golden Arm Award recognizes quarterbacks who demonstrate excellence both on and off the field. The award is presented by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation; the foundation's mission is to promote the game of football while cultivating strong character, citizenship and academic commitment among young athletes.
The field will continue to narrow in the coming weeks before finalists are selected and one quarterback is named the 2026 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recipient. The winner will be celebrated at the annual Golden Arm Award ceremony in Baltimore on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
