Ella Neubauer Spotlights Team IMPACT

Tucson, Ariz. - Arizona Beach Volleyball would like to highlight Ella Neubauer, who had the chance to spend time with Team IMPACT during the offseason.
Neubauer who is a sophomore for the SandCats serves as the Team IMPACT Fellow at Arizona. Team IMPACT connects children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams, giving them the opportunity to become part of a team and build lasting relationships.
"I've worked with students with special needs for the past seven years, so getting involved with Team IMPACT has been really important to me," said Neubauer. This summer, Neubauer traveled to Boston for the Team IMPACT summit, where Fellows from across the country came together.
"The Boston summit this summer was a great opportunity to connect with other Fellows, share ideas, and plan for the year ahead," she said. "We actually started planning this year's 5K fundraiser while we were there, which we're working hard on now. There will be a lot more content about that coming soon!"
Back in Tucson, Neubauer has been working to expand the program's presence on campus. Recently, Arizona hosted a media day for its Team IMPACT matches, bringing together families, coaches, and athletes from multiple teams.
"We've also been working on growing Team IMPACT here at Arizona. Just yesterday, we hosted a media day for our matches with their families, coaches, and athletes from different teams, which went really well," Neubauer said. "Our beach volleyball team is also hopefully getting a new match who will officially join our roster soon, which I'm super excited about!"
Looking ahead, Neubauer hopes to see the program reach even more people across campus.
"I'm hoping Team IMPACT continues to grow at Arizona and that we can get more athletes and teams involved and give the organization the recognition it deserves," she said. "Being able to combine something I've cared about for years with being a student-athlete has been really special, and I'm excited for everything we're working on this year!"
