Arizona Finishes Tied for 3rd in NCAA Regional Semifinal
04/03/2021 | Gymnastics
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — The Arizona GymCats posted a 196.025, their second-best score of the season, in the Salt Lake NCAA Regional Semifinal on Friday night.
Arizona's strong team score was not enough to advance the GymCats, however, as only the top two teams in each semifinal advanced to Saturday's finals.
The GymCats posted season-best scores on vault (49.050), beam (49.200), and floor (49.275) to cap their 2021 season on a high note. Their 49.050 on vault was their first 49+ on the event this year.
Friday's impressive performance should help the young GymCats squad as they begin to prepare for next season.
