No. 22 Arizona Gymnastics Takes Down No. 25 Stanford for Think Pink Meet

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Gymnastics posted a final score of 196.150, tying their season-high, to take down No. 25 Stanford who earned a final score of 195.225 on Sunday afternoon in McKale Center. Six GymCats earned season-high scores and four earned career-best scores.
Coach's Corner
Vault
The GymCats earned a 49.050 on vault, tying with Stanford after the first rotation. Payton Bellows earned a season-high of 9.85 and Jenny Leung tied her career-high of 9.85, both tying for second place on the event. Maddi Leydin earned a 9.825 and took home fourth place on vault.
Uneven Bars
On the uneven bars, Arizona posted a 49.050 to pull away from Stanford in the second rotation. Christina Berg earned a 9.925 to earn the first-place crown. Haylie Hendrickson earned a season-high score of 9.850 in a tie for second place.
Balance Beam
Arizona scored a 48.950 on the balance beam, with two GymCats earning career-high scores. Freshman Sirena Linton made her beam debut and posted a 9.875 to tie for first place with Kennedi Davis, who tied her career-high score. Malia Hargrove scored a 9.825 to tie for fourth place.
Floor
The GymCats earned a 49.100 on floor to close out the meet. Maddi Leydin tied for second place on the event with a 9.875 and Malia Hargrove took home fourth place with a score of 9.85. Christina Berg tied her season-high on floor with a 9.825.
Athlete of the Meet – Sirena Linton

Sirena Linton earned the title of Athlete of the Meet for Arizona with a 9.75 on bars and a 9.875 on beam.
