
Wildcats Wrap Play at NCAA Golf

TUCSON - No. 6 University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf finished in 15th place on the final day of play at the NCAA Championships. Held at Texas A&M's Traditions Golf Club, competition took place Wed.-Sat., May 18-21. The 72-hole tournament was played over the course of four days with 18 holes played each day. Traditions Golf Club is a par 72 set at 6,260 yards.
No. 2 UCLA won the NCAA title by four strokes with a score of 1,173 (+21). No. 4 Purdue, the 2010 NCAA Champions, earned a runner-up finish with a total of 1,177 (+25). No. 7 LSU rounded out the top three with 1,181 (+29). Individually, No. 40 Austin Earnst of LSU won the title. She shot seven-under par 281.
No. 81 senior Alejandra Llaneza was Arizona's top finisher in a tie for 37th place. She collected rounds of 77 (+5), 72 (E), 74 (+2) and 76 (+4) for a four-day total of 299 (+13). No. 52 junior Margarita Ramos had a four-round tally of 301 (+15) with rounds of 74 (+2), 77 (+5), 77 (+5) and 73 (+1). She finished tied for 45th place. No. 19 junior Isabelle Boineau finished tied for 69th place with a four-day tally of 306 (+18). She had rounds of 80 (+8), 72 (E), 77 (+5) and 77 (+5).
No. 79 sophomore Kyndall Ardoin carded rounds of 78 (+6), 78 (+6), 77 (+5) and 75 (+3) for a total of 308 (+20). She finished tied for 80th. Junior Nikki Koller also finished tied for 80th. She had a total of 308 (+20) with rounds of 75 (+3), 74 (+2), 82 (+10) and 77 (+5).
